About the job:
* Part-time
* Office based at RG27 8LJ, with visits to client sites
* Small, but busy practice of 6 established 23 years ago
* Mixed portfolio and individuals and SME clients
* Reporting to Lead Partner/Accountant
* Immediate start possible
What the role includes:
* Preparing and submitting annual statutory accounts under FRS102 and FRS105 from books and records provided
* Preparing annual accounts for sole traders, landlords and partnerships
* Drafting personal and corporate tax returns
* Preparing management accounts and reports for clients
* Preparing and submitting client VAT Returns to HMRC
* Budgeting, cashflow planning and evaluations
* Preparing weekly and monthly payroll and pension submissions
* Registering clients for VAT, PAYE, CIS, Self Assessment and incorporation with Companies House
* Dealing with ad-hoc queries arising for clients and those arising in the course of preparing figures for them
* Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients
* Building and maintaining relationships with clients
* Managing office work and deadlines with HMRC and Companies House
Requirements:
* Qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience accountant
* Minimum of 3 year’s working within a similar accountancy practice
* Competent knowledge of accountancy software
* Friendly and approachable to work in a small team and dealing with Clients
* Motivated and organised to manage work load in a timely basis with high attention to detail
