Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Civil Engineering firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Water Resources Engineer in Bismarck, ND.
Responsibilities:
Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis related to stormwater management and planning and flood risk reduction
Water quality analysis in urban and/or rural settings
Hydraulic analysis and design related to rivers, streams, conveyances, dams, and other hydraulic structures
Preparation of technical reports, detailed design plans, technical specifications, and contract documents; and working with clients, permitting agencies, and public officials.
Assignments may also include involvement with or supervision of project teams involved in hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, water quality modeling, GIS, and CADD work
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental engineering with an emphasis on water resources
5 years of water resources engineering experience with a focus on modeling and/or design
Project management experience
Experience with water resources challenges such as stormwater management and flood risk reduction; precipitation and flooding data analysis; urban and rural hydrologic analysis; open‑channel and pipe flow analysis; design and analysis of hydraulic structures; bank stabilization and stream restoration; floodplain analysis and mapping; dam break analysis; dam and levee analysis and design
Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling approaches and commonly used software
