Remote Working - Projects UK Wide
Salary up to £65,000 + Car Allowance £5000 + Pension + Bonus + 25 Days Holiday
Blaymires Recruitment is representing the UK's leading fire safety and facade consultancy based near Southampton who is searching for a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
The consultancy works closely with their clients to understand and manage cladding and internal combustibility risk, defects and remedial issues. They are presently overseeing the refurbishment of multiple facades on residential buildings and they work with a wide range of clients from social housing providers, landlords, private consortiums and management companies.
They are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor who will be based within the UK and be happy to work remotely.
Working remotely, you will manage cladding upgrades and remedial works to existing buildings. You will be responsible for inviting contractors to tender, placing orders, making payments, monitoring costs, visiting sites and preparing final accounts.
This role would suit a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor from a Consultancy or Main Contracting background.
Requirements of the Senior Quantity Surveyor
* Over 5 years Quantity Surveying experience.
* Consultancy or Main Contracting background.
* Working remotely/hybrid role.
* Strong knowledge of building appropriate Scope of Works documents and Bills of Quantities.
* Experienced in tender and subcontract account processes.
* Solid negotiation skills from a construction background.
* Organised with sharp financial and cost management skills.
* Astute in Invoice and Payment collation / management.
* Good understanding of JCT forms of contract
* MRICS would be desirable.
