Sayjo Recruitment are acting on behalf of a client to recruit a Machine Operator.
Our client is a well-established engineering company, they manufacture a quality product which they supply to customers worldwide. This is a key role within the business, you will be responsible for running a bespoke machine with bespoke controls, to manufacture a part unique to the business from metal.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: -
* To undertake training and become proficient in the running of a bespoke machine.
* Produce the required parts from engineering drawings to tight tolerances.
* Take responsibility for inspecting parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
* Over time, opportunity to take responsibility for the department, overseeing all aspects of manufacturing and quality.
* Liaise with other departments and external subcontractors for outsourced services eg: heat treatment and annealing.
* Take pride in the product, department and company.
To be considered for this role you should have the following: -
* Previous experience in engineering, metal machining.
* Experience of running a press would be an advantage but not essential.
* Willingness to undertake training, both internally and external.
* Ability to read an engineering drawing’s.
* Basic Microsoft office skills – email, scan/print, internet etc….
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent time management skills.
* Conscientious and someone who takes pride in a job well done.
Remuneration:
£34,528 per annum (£16.00ph)
Working hours: Mon – Thurs 7.45am – 4.45pm / Fri 7.45am – 3.45pm (41.5hrs)
Holidays: 20 days plus stats
Pension: Stakeholder Pension
